Founding Story & Editorial Commitment
The Drape Review started because our founder was tired of fashion roundups that repeated the same unverified claim across a dozen sites without anyone checking the original source. A price was quoted long after it changed, a fabric claim was lifted straight from a press release, and nobody corrected it when it turned out to be wrong.
So we built a smaller operation with a stricter process: every article is drafted from a primary source, whether that's a retailer's own page, a recorded interview or a care label photographed first-hand, and a second editor checks names, dates and prices before anything is scheduled to publish.
We run the whole operation from a single office on Stokes Croft in Bristol, with every writer named, every partnership disclosed, and every correction logged in public rather than quietly edited away.

How We Keep Standards
Every draft passes through a second editor who checks names, prices and sourcing before it's scheduled. If something changes after publication, we add a dated note rather than editing quietly.
Verify Before Publishing
We would rather hold a piece a day longer than run a figure or quote we haven't checked against its original source.
Name Every Writer
Readers can see exactly who wrote a piece and reach them directly through the contact form if something needs checking.
Disclose Every Partnership
If a brand has paid for placement, the piece says so in the first line, with no separate advertising label buried elsewhere.
We check the brand name, the fabric claim and the price before a single word goes live; if we can't verify it, we don't publish it.
